2025 HBCU Strong College Tour

15 HBCU Campus Visits

Students will have a unique opportunity to visit and tour 15 HBCU institutions in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee, providing a diversity of HBCU education experiences.

The HBCU Experience

The goal of the tour is to give students grades 9-12 from Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area a hands-on experience regarding the impact, contributions, and success of HBCUs.

Expanding Options

Another goal of the tour is to provide students with the necessary information, support, and opportunities to interact directly with HBCUs on post-secondary education processes and offerings, and how HBCUs can be viable options as candidates.

The Pipeline

One of the major cornerstones of this tour is part of a larger mission to build a pipeline between HBCUs and underserved or historically dis-invested communities to build mutually benefical relationships to leverage resources, talent, and innovation to rebuild and strengthen both HBCUs and predominately black communities.
